Educating kids--how evil can you be?

Ann Coulter usually gets a lot of attention for being mean, and she doesn't disappoint today. But this is stupid, on top of it. Well, stupider than usual. Her argument against the Democrats today is that alot of them are teachers. And considering how much Americans hate teachers, this is a surefire way to win their support.

If the Democrats are a fair cross-section of America, then I guess we can stop worrying about class size. As a friend of mine points out, if the Democratic delegates represent America, then the teacher-student ratio in this country is, at worst, one teacher for every three students.

As we all know, nothing irritates Americans more than the outside possibility that there are enough teachers in this country to actually remember the names of their students. I remember when I was in my tiny high school, all the parents saying things like, "Well, we moved here because we love having no culture, no night life, and bad pay. Too bad this is a horrible place to raise children, with the small class sizes in the school and all the personal attention the students get."

Next week, Ann will argue that the Democrats are evil because they love puppies and rainbows.

And what is with this?

On rare occasions, the greeting is modified to, "Where does your husband teach?" or "Where does your gay lover teach?"

We've all heard the rumors about the men that Coulter kills time with and why this might have some bearing on why she's not married yet. (Hey, if they legalize gay marriage, she can change her sex and might have a chance at getting a man yet!) Because of this, we know that she's aware that you do not have to remind a gay man that his lover is also gay. If she can't stop herself from lying about something that easy to disprove, we can probably assume that the rest of this essay is pure, unadulterated bullshit. Bravo, Ann!
