The further erosion of good relations between the sexes
From Roy Edroso, here's an article from Meghan Cox Gurdon, otherwise known as America's Worst Mother, where she whines that movies won't lie to you and do nothing but storylines about how abortion ruins your life forever and ever. Also, it would help if the movies made it clear that you should only have sex if you want to make a baby. Otherwise, you're just thrusting and parrying or something like that.
In the middle of all this, we are treated to her true feelings on the subject of impotence.
Looming far larger in the "Alfie" remake is the hero's, er, sword of seduction. It goes flaccid. It may be diseased! Cliffhanger! Memento mori! The triviality would make you weep if the film weren't itself so trivial. An unplanned baby means a quick trip to the clinic, but an endangered penis? Now that is distressing. That is cause for soft-focus soul-searching.
How sensitive. And they call feminists "man-haters".

Ugh. To think that at one time the National Review was at least fairly well-written...
Great post in the Pandagon abortion thread, btw.

"Memento mori"? WTF? Somebody needs to tell her that you're supposed to know what fancy phrases mean before you use them.
