More bad news

Well, the textbook vote was taken. I'm officially a virgin now because there's no sex before marriage. And homosexuals don't have families.


The State Board of Education approved a set of middle-school textbooks Friday after publishers submitted last-minute changes explicitly defining marriage as being between a man and a woman.

The board also approved high-school health books that stress abstinence as nearly the only way to prevent pregnancy and disease.

The marriage changes followed a request Thursday by board member Terri Leo, R-Spring. The books never discussed same-sex marriage but Leo said they legitimized the concept by using words such as "adults" and "couples" instead of "husbands and wives."

Husbands and wives are neither adults nor couples. Good to know.

Seriously, why don't they go all the way and define marriage as only between white people as well?

Fear not, gentle friends! No one taught me squat about contraception or evolution in high school, because our local school board was way ahead of the Neanderthal curve than the state school board. Nonetheless, I still know about evolution and I've never been pregnant or gotten an STD. Can't say the same about the majority of my classmates. The Lord works in mysterious ways, what with the granting of the miseries of disease and unwanted pregnancy on those who follow in his footsteps and stay righteously ignorant.
