The GOP has invited my cat to register to vote

His name was actually mistakenly put on a list of felons, but I guess they found out that Feline-Americans do not traditionally favor the Democrats. 

They don't realize this is exactly the sort of thing that inflates his opinion of himself. I imagine he'll be expecting an extra can of cat food this week.
He is, however, a little peeved at the suggestion that he is out there knocking on doors for Bush.  While his powers of persuasion are certainly difficult to overrate, he prefers to use them in service of acquiring toys, food, and playtime.  He assures me that he has never, ever rubbed up on someone with the purr turned to 11 and given them the huge kitten eyes accompanied with a sweet little "Meow?" in service of any politician, much less a Republican.
