The right wing continues to be inspired by Communism

Dammit! I was going to post a blog entry comparing BushCo's take on science to the Soviet Union and China's insistence on Lysenkoism must be the true biology because it fit into their political beliefs better. But Mary at Pacific Views beat me to it. And did it better, of course. So go read it.

BushCo's take on science is a combination of the Communist take where science does that does not fit into the ideaology is rejected and the traditional anti-science religious take where stuff written in the Bible trumps things that can be scientifically proven. Who knew it would take the Republican party of the 21st century to seamlessly meld two widely rejected viewpoints, one of the 20th century and one of medieval times?
