Early Friday cat blogging

I don't have my pictures together yet, but if anyone wants a taste of what Max and Katy have been up to this week, they had an experience they are sure to relish for weeks, months and perhaps years to come. Yes, a bird flew down the chimney.

I was not there to witness the momentous event, but my boyfriend said that it was pretty funny. The bird flew around the living room, and Katy freaked out and took her station behind the chair. Max's eyes grew to twice their normal size, so my boyfriend determined that he'd better deal with Max first. After locking them both in the bedroom, he opened the front door and the bird flew out, no worse for the wear.

Whether or not this incident has emboldened Max to redouble his bird-chasing efforts in the future, I do not know yet.
