Kick ass music

Trying to decide what ass-kicking music would properly pump up the house for the debate. (Dry debates are way more fun if everyone acts like it's a sporting event and yells at the TV.) There is only one choice--Nashville Pussy. So tonight's post is about their scary but awesome guitarist, Ruyter Suys.

Suys is a great heavy metal guitarist. I usually have no use for heavy metal, but I am always up for one of their shows, because she's such a joy to watch play. Plus, she has style, at least in the sense of being a one of a kind. She gleefully participates in the grand old metal tradition of playing shirtless, though she generally still wears her bra. But the fun thing is that she plays hard, nasty, loud rock music perfect for putting you into a mood for ass-kicking. (The downside of this is that while you will want to stand at the front at Nashville Pussy shows to watch Suys play, you are courting the danger of getting sucked into a brawl.)
