If you're going to be in Austin this weekend

There's only one party in town Saturday night worth going to. It's the Yuppie Pricks Beach Party. Last year was an absolute blast. They pulled a rather startling transformation on Emo's, actually making the atmosphere beach party-like. We drank too many daiquiris, bounced a beach ball around, made some new friends, rocked out. This year should be great. At a party Saturday, I promised to wear a bikini this year and not cop out by wearing a skirt over it like I did last year. However, I shot down requests to participate in the wet T-shirt contest. I love these guys, but not that much.
The Neal Pollack Invasion will be playing, too, and well worth checking out. Loud, mean, insulting rock music--good times. Long-standing locals the Sons of Hercules will be playing as well. There's two stages at Emo's, so if you just want to come for the music, you'll get your money's worth. But the party's worth coming for as well.
